London Knights Chair Raffle!
A group of veterans from Parkwood Institute came together with a shared purpose: to give back to their community through craftsmanship, teamwork, and a cause close to their hearts.
Drawing on their skills and strong sense of camaraderie, the group decided to design and build a handcrafted Adirondack chair, with the intention of auctioning it off to raise funds for Jumpstart.
As proud supporters of the London Knights, the veterans chose to theme the chair in the team’s iconic colors and style. The project became more than just a build—it was a meaningful collaboration.
Each member contributed to the process, from carefully sanding the wood to painting and assembling the final piece. The effort reflected not only their technical abilities but also their shared commitment to supporting youth and community initiatives.
Once the chair was completed, the veterans had the unique opportunity to take their work to a London Knights practice. There, players generously signed the chair, adding a special and personal touch that significantly enhanced its value and meaning. This moment marked the culmination of the veterans’ hard work and dedication.
The finished chair stands as a symbol of community spirit, teamwork, and generosity. Through this initiative, the veterans have created something tangible that will help provide opportunities for children to participate in sports and physical activities—an outcome that aligns with the very values they continue to uphold.
Raffle Tickets are $10 each
