in memory of Steve Mann
Steve was a proud Canadian Tire Dealer for 25 years, following in his father, Ken's, footsteps. Steve and his brother Kevin would continue the proud CT legacy that his father helped to create. He and his wife Ann moved to Spryfield NS in 1998, subsequently owning five stores, completing two new builds. After 21 years in the Maritimes, Steve took over the Sudbury South store where he fully embraced the Northern Ontario life.
His three girls, Kirsten, Natalie and Emily were the light of his life and motivated him to work hard and enjoy the simple things in life. Steve had many friends both in and out of Canadian Tire and his kindness, gentle spirit and humour will be missed by all who knew him.
Philanthropy was especially important to Steve and Ann. In addition to supporting many grassroot organizations in both Halifax and Sudbury, supporting Jumpstart was always a priority for Steve.
Jumpstart helps kids facing financial and accessibility barriers access sport and play.
Your support will help kids in the Sudbury area and support programs like BURST.
BURST is a rapport-building program dedicated to enhancing relationships between police and youth while developing confidence, self-esteem, resiliency, strength and leadership. It provides an opportunity for youth that have more risk factors than protective factors to engage in activities that they might not otherwise have the opportunity to.
Activities include basketball, volleyball, hiking, geocaching, swimming, canoeing and obstacle courses. BURST also offers cultural awareness activities such as guest speakers, residential school visits and Indigenous beading.
