Welcome to what can only be described as a very questionable decision with a very great purpose.

We’re Jason and Steve, and for reasons we’re still trying to fully understand, we’ve committed to riding a tandem bike and riding 50km for Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities.

A few things have changed since last year:
We’ve both added a few extra pounds to our “high performance” builds
Our coordination has not improved as much as we’d hoped
And we’re seriously considering riding with a backpack that includes a defibrillator

So expectations are… realistic.

What hasn’t changed is why we’re doing this. Jumpstart helps kids get access to sport and play. It gives them confidence, a sense of belonging, and opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise have. That part matters and it’s the reason we keep showing up.

This journey will include effort, a lot of laughs, and probably a few moments where things go off the rails. But we’re all in on the goal and the cause behind it.
